The implementation of modern mobile terminals with the Android system in Koleje Śląskie was a real challenge from the point of view of hardware management. Nearly 290 devices require constant monitoring, remote updates and possibility to block a device in case of theft or loss. FAMOC not only met the company’s expectations in the area of mobile device security, but also standardized the appearance of the user’s desktop. Thanks to the FAMOC system, we have the ability to profile devices, block settings, and even indicate the order of applications on the terminal’s desktop.

As one of the leading auditing and advisory organizations in the world, Grant Thornton puts great emphasis on security and management processes. FAMOC has significantly improved these processes -today it helps us to manage over 300 mobile devices. The implementation and migration from the previous EMM system was very efficient and quick. We even had a dedicated support, which was an additional benefit for us!

We are using the FAMOC system since 2014. At that time, our base fleet was 2,500 tablets for conductors. Today, there are nearly 4,000 devices managed by FAMOC manage and half of them was added through the integration of FAMOC with Android zero-touch, which allowed to implement a new management method based on Android Enterprise. FAMOC has enabled us to efficiently and remotely configure devices, distribute applications and many other functionalities related to mobile security.

FAMOC manage improves work of our e-kajet service – electronic form for registration, which works on our devices in Kiosk mode. FAMOC manage also allows to configure a form for data collection during the events, also thanks to Kiosk mode in which you can block any other (than the one that you need) application. A simple solution for end-user is the best example of a comprehensive ICT solution. Thanks to the FAMOC manage system, we know everything about each of our mobile devices, we also know its history, its location and many other parameters. We can also connect them with a specific user. In case of any loss or theft the device can be wipe or blocked. FAMOC manage brings huge possibilities of data security which is our priority in our everyday job.

We’ve been using FAMOC manage solution since 2019. It’s a tool that allows us to remotely manage, configure and secure around 500 devices in MásMóvil stores across the Spain. From our perspective the most important issue is to secure the devices by kiosk mode and to customize the desktop by launcher configuration. This allows us to significantly improve the processes related to mobile device management.

We’ve been looking for a new MDM solution – easier to use, more intuitive with better support. That’s why we decided to migrate our fleet of 500 devices (Samsung Active Pro and MyPhone Hammer Explorer) from one MDM provider to FAMOC manage! Those tablets and smartphones are dedicated to our sales team and outsourced delivery, all are implemented in BYOD mode (Bring Your Own Device). Thanks to FAMOC manage the device lifecycle is much more convenient and what’s more, it allows us to reduce costs!

In 15 years of work in IT, I have not had a more enjoyable implementation, completed with full success, knowing that we know what we use and how to manage it. The FAMOC manage system enables numerous configurations and restrictions included in our security policies. These are, among others: remote installation of internal apps, configuration of Samsung Email, enabled location services or enabled remote access. All of these features enable efficient control over devices, data security and remote management of a dispersed fleet of company smartphones.

The implementation of the FAMOC manage system covered 130 devices – Point Mobile PM85 mobile terminals with the Android 9.0 system. These devices are used by conductors and train managers of the Łódź Agglomeration Railway to sell and control tickets. The greatest benefit of the implementation is the supervision of software and hardware, which is in the conductor teams and to which the Teleinformatics Department of the Łódź Agglomeration Railway has no direct access. The equipment is issued to employees and used throughout the Łódź Province. The FAMOC manage software is perfect for this role. On a daily basis, we use remote updates of sales software and remote distribution of other applications. We also verify the availability of devices for work and generate reports on their activity and update status. We plan to extend the license in the near future
for more devices.

As an educational institution that uses tablets in class, we cannot imagine the lack of control over devices and the lack of additional security. The key to us is the ability to block changes to settings on devices, as well as the ability to block the installation of applications or games. To focus the use of tablets on educational purposes, the devices were added in COBO mode, without the option of using them for private purposes.

The implemented FAMOC manage solution meet all these needs. It also gives the option of remote access to the device, integrates with Azure Active Directory and allows for a uniform configuration of school devices.

field workers. From our perspective, the key is the ability to remotely install and update applications,
ensuring safe access and introducing a company store, which ensures that the devices are used only for business purposes, and company data is properly secured.
