FAMOC platform support extends beyond Windows Phone devices and also includes Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 devices. Our solution enables simple recording and management of devices with the Windows family system, including laptops, tablets and phones, from a single platform. The management of all devices, regardless of the operating system, through a common administrator interface allows the implementation of uniform security policies and significantly increases productivity.
The postal sector reliability depends on its ability to ensure thatdeliveries are made in an efficient manner. It’s key for the postmen to have a mobile tool to capture proofof delivery effectively, froma single easy-to-use device. Our customer – post office – had some challenges that needed to be addressed:
1/ Security – personal data stored electronically had to be protected at all levels, because app collected not only an image of the signature, but also recorded biometric data.
2/ Pace and breadth – first stage of the project included 5500 postmen with plans to equip another 18,500. First stages of the project covered 76% of postcodes to later reach 100% addresses nationwide.
3/ Flexibility -the post officehad to follow tendering procedures in order to choose the device and EMM software to supportit. That’s why the list of requirements was extremely detailed and included the same level of support for all platforms
With FAMOC manage, our customer managed to put postmen’s Windows tablet in the kiosk mode, blocking the end-users from installing any unwanted applications. Additionally,the IT team uses FAMOCmanageto distribute a dedicated mobileapp for postmen and enforce security policies such aspassword and location. Once installed, FAMOC manage enables IT to centralize managementof entire mobile infrastructure throughout thedevice lifecycle and remotely troubleshoot devices in thefield using remote desktop access.

Customer also wanted to be able to remotely help employees when they occur any problems with the device.
